Made to Last

Since I want the intrinsic rewards of the paintings to last I use quality materials so that they will last physically. Paying attention to known lightfast pigments, I use fine Winsor & Newton watercolors and oils, for acrylics I use Nova Color. For paper I use 100% rag d'Arches of France. I mount paintings on 100% rag matboard, backed with acid-free foam core, adhered with white (non-acid) glue. The outside mat board is Crescent acid-free. I use plexiglass which contains some ultraviolet protection.
